Psoriasis is an immune disease. The existing treatments of Psoriasis can only relieve symptoms to a certain extent. Some of them have toxic side effects and long-term treatment will produce tolerance and cause recurrence. Mesenchymal stem cells have the ability of proliferation, differentiation and homing, which can promote tissue regeneration and reconstruction, and also have the ability of immune immunity and immune regulation, which is suitable for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
Previous studies by our team have found that compared with umbilical cord and bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells, dental pulp mesenchymal stem cells have stronger immune regulatory function and are the best choice for the treatment of immune diseases. We demonstrated in animal models that dental pulp mesenchymal stem cell injection can effectively treat psoriasis. Our team has applied for the record of clinical research on the treatment of psoriasis with dental pulp mesenchymal stem cells jointly with the first affiliated hospital of jilin university.
